Wood pellets are biomass made from compressed wood dust, forming small cylinders with a diameter of 8mm x 30mm. After being processed through a pelletizing machine, the pellets are then cooled and packed into jumbo bags with a capacity of 900 kg per bag. Wood pellets have a high calorific value, making them efficient and flammable with a good flash point, making them suitable as a substitute for coal, oil, and gas (fossil fuels). Currently, wood
pellets are rapidly developing as a biomass fuel due to their high calorific value, around 4500 kcal, for both the domestic and export markets. This makes them a potential export commodity for Indonesia.
